Take back the disk space your media library is wasting
Smart Transcode finds the video and audio in your library that is bigger than it needs to be, converts it from a web page, and replaces the original only after the new file has been checked. Your GPU does the work.
Pick the files. Watch the savings add up.
The library appears as a folder tree. Tick a folder or single files, press Convert, and follow progress in the queue. History keeps the before and after size of every file.
- See what a conversion would save before you start it
- Pause, resume or add to a running queue at any time
- Works from any browser on your network

Why people use it
Everything runs on your own server. No account and no cloud service needed.
⚡GPU first
NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Quick Sync / VA-API or AMD VA-API, with a CPU fallback. Several files at once.
🛡Safe by design
Every result is checked before it replaces the original. A file that grows is thrown away, and a file that changed meanwhile is never overwritten.
🎧Video and audio
HEVC, H.264 or AV1 for video; AAC, AC-3, Opus, FLAC and more for audio, with track selection by language.
🤖Hands-off option
Watch folders and queue what needs converting automatically, with Sonarr and Radarr kept informed.
